Delete your data

SnackProof has no accounts, so there is no account to delete. The app creates only an anonymous identifier so your scan history follows your install. We never hold your name, email address or phone number.

Delete a single scan

Open the History screen in the app and remove any individual scan. This takes effect immediately, on your device and on our server.

Delete everything

There are two ways to erase all data associated with your install:

  1. In the app. Open Settings, go to Your data and tap Delete my data. This takes effect immediately, on your device and on our server: your scan history, the diagnostic logs tied to it and the anonymous identifier itself are all erased. The app carries on with a new identifier and an empty history.
  2. Email us. Write to deepfaiinc@gmail.com from the device in question with the subject Delete my SnackProof data, quoting the anonymous identifier shown in Settings. We will erase the same records and confirm by reply, within 30 days and usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

Either route removes all of the following:

  • Your anonymous identifier.
  • Your full scan history — extracted ingredient text, product names, grades, scores and flag counts.
  • Diagnostic logs (response time, token count, model version) tied to that identifier.
  • Your subscription record, where you have one. Note that cancelling a subscription is handled by Apple or Google in your store account settings, not by us.

Uninstalling is not deletion

Removing the app clears what is stored on the device — your preferences, the cached history and the saved session. It does not reach our server: the scan rows, the diagnostic logs and the anonymous identifier they are keyed to all remain, and reinstalling mints a new identifier rather than reclaiming the old one. Use Delete my data before you uninstall — once the app is gone, so is your only copy of the identifier we need in order to find those rows.

What we never stored in the first place

Label photographs are forwarded for text extraction and then discarded. They are never written to storage or a database, never attached to your history, and never used to train any model — so there is nothing of that kind to delete.

Retention

Scan results are kept until you delete them or ask us to. Diagnostic logs are retained for up to 90 days and then removed automatically.
